New technology with big future plans for metadata and governance
Egeria may have only been around since June 2018, but already the core engine and many metadata governance features are up and running. The technology is hot off the press and during the past year, there has been much planning and coding which is now enabling big future plans. With many exciting capabilities created and honed by the many contributors, we decided it was time to elaborate and share what’s up and coming!
So, to let the world in on what is in store for Egeria we have created a release cycle! Where everyone can see what we are up to and find out when we aim to have these capabilities available with documentation and tutorials!
Each month we will be blogging about the new release capabilities and sending out links to tutorials so you can “test-drive” the new contributions.
Where do you find all of this information?
All the release details are on the ODPi Egeria website, ready for you to check out!
Next months planned November release focuses on:
- Release 1.2 – Planned November 2019
- Conformance test suite
- Asset cataloging and consumption
- Governance zones and metadata security
- Open metadata archives
The release cycle is our community plans, if more contributors join us then we may have many more items to add. The release cycle is a guide and not a commitment.
We would love to get your feedback and if you want to contribute please sign up and become an Egeria contributor to find out more click here or to contact the team via slack – join here and go to #egeria-discussions.
